Plumbing outside Sales Wholesale Distribution
This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Plumbing outside Sales Whole Distribution Representative with an exciting company in Jacksonville, FL. This is a contract to hire position. We are actively seeking great candidates to interview and hire as soon as possible.
Position Overview:
Visit customer offices and job sites to assess customer needs and potential, to develop and maintain strong relationships, and to generate and close sales
Analyze customer data, develop and execute strategies to grow market share and meet or exceed the monthly required gross profit dollars and margin percentages
Process Sales Orders, Bids, Job Information packages, and perform all sales functions in accordance with Company policy and procedures
Attend scheduled sales meetings, maintain weekly sales plans and call reports, and keep customer contact files current
Prospect new customers and alert the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager of viable prospects for screening
Maintain product literature files and sample material to ensure the most current and accurate information is always provided to our customers
Investigate and resolve customer problems; address pricing deductions and material returns timely, exceeding customer expectations and benefiting the Profit Center
Work with the customer, Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager to facilitate payment of all accounts receivable; communicate to the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager any changes in a customer’s business that might cause a credit risk
Support Inside Sales and all Profit Center activities as part of our Profit Center Team
Attend local and state meetings or conventions to learn about new products, market conditions, and the competition, and to build vendor relationships
Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required
Salary 40K
Qualifications:
Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and their employee team, vendors and co-workers
Working Knowledge of Plumbing industry
General Construction knowledge
Possesses excellent computer, communication and listening skills
Must have ability to persuade
Comprehensive knowledge of products and value-added services offered
Driven to continually identify and pursue new customers and to increase market share and profitability of each assigned account
Self-directed with ability to plan and organize effective sales calls
Able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
Able to learn and operate (keyboard and mouse) the applicable software system (Eclipse) used to process orders
Read, write, speak, and understand English
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2+ years outside sales experience, contractor sales preferred
A proper and valid driver’s license for the vehicle(s) being driven
A driving record that demonstrates good driving skills in compliance with Company policy
Extensive knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center
Use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain weekly sales plans, call reports, customer contact files, and to analyze customer data
